How to Copy Text

You can copy characters, words, lines, and paragraphs from one location and paste it to another location within the document using Paste Commands.  Sometimes you may want Dictation Pro to type repeated text.  Instead of repeatedly speaking same text, you can command Dictation Pro to copy the text in the document using the following commands:

Note - Please press and hold control key before you use any select command.  Otherwise application will recognize it as a text and not as a command.

To Copy recently dictated word or phrase

• Copy that

This command copies the last phrase or line that has been dictated.

To Copy Specific Words

• Copy <text>

The <text> may represent any word or a phrase.  For maintaining the recognition accuracy of Dictation Pro, length of <text> should be minimum.  The command allows you to copy a word or a phrase from the document.  The copied text can be pasted anywhere in the document.

If the spoken <text> occurs multiple times in your document, you can easily resolve the Multiple Matches.

To Copy a Range of Words

• Copy <text1>through<text2>

The command selects a part of document to copy.  <text1> and <text2> represent the actual words at the beginning and end of selection range.

If <text1> and <text2> occur multiple times in your document, you can easily resolve the Multiple Matches.

To Copy One or More Characters

• Copy next character

The command helps to copy a character after the current location of the cursor.

• Copy next <2-20> characters

You can copy 2-20 characters after the current location of the cursor from one location to another.

For example, say "Copy next 5 characters".

• Copy previous character

The command helps to copy a character before the current location of the cursor.

• Copy previous <2-20> characters

You can copy 2-20 characters before the current location of the cursor.

For example, say "Copy previous 5 characters".

To Copy One or More Words / Lines / Paragraphs

• Copy next word / line / paragraph

The command helps to copy a word / line / paragraph in which the cursor is present.

• Copy next <2-20> words / lines / paragraphs

You can copy 2-20 words / lines / paragraphs after the current location of the cursor.

For example, say "Copy next 5 words", "Copy next 2 paragraphs".

• Copy previous word / line / paragraph

The command helps to select a word / line / paragraph in which the cursor is present.

• Copy previous <2-20> words / lines / paragraphs

You can copy 2-20 words / lines / paragraphs before the current location of the cursor.

For example, say "Copy previous 5 words", "Copy previous 3 lines".

Note - An alternate word for "next" is "forward" and other words for "previous" are "back" and "last".
