How to Delete Text
The voice commands to delete characters, words, lines, and paragraphs from the document are as follows:
Note - Please press and hold control key before you use any delete command. Otherwise application will recognize it as a text and not as a command.
To Delete recently dictated word or phrase

Delete / Scratch that
This command erases the last word or phrase that has been dictated.
Note: Undo command can be used to erase a keystroke.
To Delete Specific Words

Delete<text>
The <text> may represent any word or a phrase. Select the text using Select Commands and say Delete. Another way to delete a word is to place the cursor on the specific word and say Delete.
If the spoken <text> occurs multiple times in your document, you can easily resolve the Multiple Matches.
To Delete a Range of Words

Delete<text1>through<text2>
The command deletes a part of your document. <text1> and <text2> represent the actual words at the beginning and end of the selected range for deletion.
If <text1> and <text2> occur multiple times in your document, you can easily resolve the Multiple Matches.
To Delete One or More Characters

Delete next character
The command deletes a character after the current location of the cursor.

Delete next <2-20> characters
You can delete 2-20 characters after the current location of the cursor.
For example, say "Delete next 5 characters".

Delete previous character
The command deletes a character before the current location of the cursor.

Delete previous <2-20> characters
You can delete 2-20 characters before the current location of the cursor.
For example, say, "Delete previous 5 characters".
To Delete One or More Words / Lines / Paragraphs

Delete next word/line/paragraph
The command deletes a word / line / paragraph in which the cursor is present.

Delete next <2-20> words / lines / paragraphs
You can delete 2-20 words / lines / paragraphs after the current location of the cursor.
For example, say "Delete next 5 words", "Delete next 12 lines".

Delete previous word / line / paragraph
The command deletes a word / line / paragraph in which the cursor is present.

Delete previous <2-20> words / lines / paragraphs
You can delete 2-20 words before the current location of the cursor.
For example, say "Delete previous 5 words", "Delete previous 3 paragraphs".
Note - An alternate word for "next" is "forward". Alternate words for "previous" are "back" and "last".
